Something weird is happening with 'Tears of the Kingdom' preorders ahead of Nintendo Direct

UPDATE: February 8, 2023 at 10:09 AM EST This post has been updated with information about preorders of “The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom”, ahead of today’s Nintendo Direct.

Preorders are no longer accepted by major retailers Tears of the Kingdom: Zelda’s Legend Today’s Nintendo Direct will be held at 5 p.m. ET. ET.

Plus, the Nintendo eShop has its own website briefly listed the game for $69.99 on Tuesday night — that’s a $10 increase from other first-party Switch titles. It could mean that Nintendo joins other game publishers like Xbox or PlayStation in raising prices. Or, it could just be an error. We will hopefully have more information later in the livestream.

Nintendo’s eagerly awaited sequel The Legend of Zelda – Breath of the Wild Finally, we now have a name for the album and a release date.

This was revealed at the end of September’s Nintendo Direct livestream. Tears of the Kingdom: Zelda’s Legend Switch consoles will get the game on May 12, 2023. Preorders were available at GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon and Best Buy.
